The International Dance Organization Forums have been held for the first time virtually and online. The IDO Forums took place over two days on the 25th and 26th February 2021. Over 60 representatives from 45 countries, all continents took part.

The first day of Forums saw three topics: IDO Social Media, IDO Logo and its use and the new and exciting online competition, IDO Continent v Continent Championships.

IDO Vice-President Seamus Byrne introduced the new Social Media Team, outlining the work that has been produced since the new Team commenced working together in January 2021. This includes graphic work, e-newsletter, procuring video content for additional promotion, quote of the week, as well as daily work in all IDO social media platforms. Mr Byrne also introduced IDO Social Media Consultant, Pedram Zamani, who gave an insight on video production, confirmed how IDO will become more creative and provided a vision on how e-marketing will play an important role when going forwards.

In his second topic, the IDO Vice-President for Communications, confirmed the many issues that IDO is encountering with the use of the IDO Logo, either in an incorrect format or when the use of the logo has not been approved by IDO Sports or Communications Departments. Mr Byrne highlighted the importance of the IDO Logo and gave a brief outline on how this can be used and the various variations that would be accepted. He announced that this new policy would be part of a bigger IDO Brand guide that will be produced by the IDO Social Media Team. It was also confirmed that all countries will receive a new IDO Emblem that can be used alongside all IDO NMO logos for additional promotion in their countries.

IDO Vice-President and IDO Sports Director Fiona Johnson presented the new virtual IDO Continent v Continent Championships. She confirmed that the competition was open to all dancers globally and applications would need be done via the IDO NMO. As part of the presentation: guidelines on the competition format, categories, age divisions, disciplines, adjudication, judging system and video presentations was provided. It was confirmed that the Championship would be five rounds, commencing with national qualifiers in April and the fifth round being the final showcase on the 18th December 2021, the IDO World Gala.
