Vedran Marceta from IDO Bosnia and Herzegovina will be conducting an IDO Lecture, a project led by the IDO Adjudication and Education Departments.

Vedran will be conducting a lecture on Argentine Tango. Vedran began dancing and competing at age of 11, in Sarajevo and is one of the first sports dancers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the first champion in Latin American dances at the national championship, which was held in Sarajevo in 1994.

Over the years, Vedran competed nationally and internationally winning many accolades, including gold medal at the 2013 World Salsa Championship, gold medal at the 2018 World Tango Championship and gold medal at the 2019 European Tango Championship in 2019.

The Sports Federation of BiH awarded Vedran a special recognition in 2018, given his excellent results in the men's competition. He is the founder and leader of the Sarajevo Salsa Congress as well as the founder and leader of Sarajevo Tango Festival.

He is one of the key organizers of the Graduates Parade in BiH, an event that brought together the largest number of people performing quadrille dance at different locations in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina, recorded in the Guinness Book of Records in 2008. He focuses his energy as a top instructor in holding classes and workshops in various dance disciplines where he helps students of all ages to develop their talents and their full potential in dance. He has a rich stage experience and has dedicated part of his dance career to developing choreographies for competitive dance groups.

Vedran’s lecture will be conducted virtually via Zoom on Thursday 18th February 2021 at 11am CET. The seminar is free of charge with enrollments to be done via the IDO website and your national member organization. The IDO hopes that as many of our members will take part!
